THE first calf of the Horsenden Hill newborns has been named - but there is not long to have your chance to name the other two.

Snowy is one of three cows born on the hill earlier this month to a herd of five bought in as living lawn mowers.
The name was chosen by Lucy Woloszczuk of Lexden Road, Acton.

A shocked wine drinker had a lucky escape when she spotted the neck of a bottle had sheared off leaving a dangerously sharp edge which could have cut her hand open.

Police Polish day a big success

AN EVENING designed to build bridges and break down language barriers with Polish residents has swelled the ranks of the police force.

Visitors came from as far as Redhill in Surrey to attend the event at Greenford Hall in Ruislip Road on Monday (15).

Ward forum dates announced

The town hall has released the dates for ward forums in the area.

The first of these smaller versions of area committees is to be held on Wednesday (17).

Uncollected Bank Deposits

MORE than £50,000 in uncollected bank deposits has been found to belong to account holders in Greenford.

Another £40,000 is still to be picked up by customers from Southall who have accounts at Halifax which have lain dormant for 15 years.

A team of students and staff are manning a special hotline to help potential students find a place at university.
