Bakery approved

Posted by Michael Russell on Oct 16, 08 03:57 PM in

A Large bakery has been given the go-ahead by councillors despite neighbours fears that it will be noisy, create unpleasant odours and cause congestion.

The development was approved at a planning committee last night (15).

It will run 24 hours a day, seven days a week at Fairway Drive, Greenford.

We'd like to hear from you.

The proposed bakery should not be allowed to expand. I am a resident near the width restriction on Long Drive. Already we often smell the bread being baked in the evenings and late at night. Furthermore, the vehicles used by the bakery can go through the width restriction because they are less than 6ft6in which allows them to pass through. So there is an increase in these vehicles travelling through a residential area already. They also cause congestion at the end of Hill Rise where they often park illegally to deliver their goods to the surrounding shops.
