Greenford gang show is go

Dates have been set for next year's Greenford Gang show at Greenford Hall.

The scout and guide extravaganza will be held at 7.30pm on Thursday, February 19, Friday, February 20 and Saturday February 21, with an extra matinee performance on Saturday at 2.15pm.

Tickets for the shows at the Ruislip Road venue will go on sale at a later date.

Crime spree teenager caged

A youth who had never been in trouble before went on a crime spree following his chance arrest for carrying a knife.

Wearing a trade-mark hoodie, the thug was with another youngster when they saw two police officers walking towards them in Ellesmere Road, Greenford, on May 22.

Keen-eyed neighbours are locked in a cat and mouse game with a man they believe is the source a spate of car attacks.

Residents around Hazeltree Lane and surrounding roads in Northolt have seen the car park spy who photographs vehicles for thieves to target later.

Delighted residents have welcomed plans for a much needed bus route for their estate.

Neighbours on the Wood End Estate, Northolt, have been struggling without a service for years and are hopeful that their campaigning will have finally paid off.

Perivale eatery may lose licence

A restaurant will fight for its right to serve booze and lay on entertainment next week after it was shut down by police for holding loud parties after licensing hours.

Officers closed down Al-Afendi in Central Parade, Perivale, on September 18, after noting a raft of loud gatherings held after closing time.

MOTORISTS and bus passengers will face disruption around Pett's Hill bridge this weekend when major works to improve it begin.

Pett's Hill will be closed from 10pm to 7am between Saturday (8) and Sunday (9) and bus routes will be diverted.

Learners driven to despair

GREENFORD is the sixth worst place in the country to take your driving test according to latest figures.

The test centre in Horsenden Lane has a pass rate of just 31.8 per cent say motoring magazine Auto Express.
