Police crack down on drug dens

Hundreds of cannabis plants have been seized by police after they raided two drug factories.

A NEW management is determined to turn around the bad name of a Middle Eastern restaurant.

The Afendi Restaurant, in Central Parade, Western Avenue, Perivale, lost its licence in November after breaching it 25 times, mainly through holding loud parties after the hours the eatery was allowed to sell alcohol.

But now partners James Ismail and Dhia Abdulla have taken over, opening for business on Saturday 7.

Mr Ismail said: "I'm hoping it's going to be a big success."

The good for Greenford project, which hopes to transform the area's town centre, has entered its third phase.

Final rehearsals are taking place for this year's Gang Show, back at Greenford Hall by popular demand.

An elderly man and his son fought off three thugs who smashed their way through a glass front door in a bid to burgle their home.
