Police target Target Roundabout in Northolt

Posted by Michael Russell on May 15, 09 10:41 AM in Crime

POLICE are warning dangerous drivers they are paying regular visits to a roundabout notorious for motorists cutting each other up.

Instead of joining the slower inside lanes around the Target Roundabout to leave at Church Road, cars are going around the outside and forcing their way in at the last minute.

PC Lorraine Warren, of the Northolt Mandeville Safer Neighbourhood Team says they have been making motorists go around the roundabout again when they catch them.

She said: "We're trying to keep the traffic flow moving.

"We just started doing it to gauge how people would respond and it's been really positive, we've even had some motorists give us a round of applause.

"Now we're going to ask the council to put a camera there so they can fine motorists who cut other drivers up."

We'd like to hear from you.
