Fun day has soul

A Family fun day celebrating the birth of the Christian church proved another success last weekend.

The yearly event, organised by Soul in Northolt and Greenford (SING) a multi-denominational network of eight churches in the north of the borough, entertained the crowd with a steel band, face painting, games and a prayer tent for quite reflection.

The afternoon, which marks The Feast of Pentecost, was held at Northolt Village's clock tower green last Sunday (31).

It ended with open air worship led by St Mary's rector Greville Thomas.

The Reverend Simon Winn of St Joseph's Church, said: "This is the fourth year we've worked together to run the Pentecost fun day and worship and it's offered simply to bless our local community and for people to enjoy themselves."

We'd like to hear from you.
