Music and Dinner in Perivale

Guest are being invited on a first-come-first-served basis to a music and dinner evening.

Delighted pupils had a splashing time in their temporary swimming pool when they were visited by the mayor of London this week.

The youngsters from Greenwood Primary School, in Wood End Way, Northolt, showed off their techniques to Boris Johnson who was joined by his sport's commissioner Kate Hoey and Enigma and Doom from the hit endurance show Gladiators.

Pupils made an Olympic effort to learn business skills thanks to a pep talk from a sporty special guest.

The 11 and 12-year-olds at Northolt High School, in Eastcote Lane, Northolt, were inspired by six-times world champion kayaker Anna Hemmings who visited on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Piano Recital in Perivale

St Mary's Church in Perivale is inviting guests to attend a piano recital this Sunday (October 18).

Work can start on a £2 million state-of-the-art building for people with learning disabilities early next year thanks to a Government loan.

Ealing Mencap launched its fund-raising campaign to rebuild the 1967 prefab, Enterprise Lodge in Stockdove Way, Perivale in 2005. The development will cost £1.5 million with £500,000 needed to manage the Lodge for the first five years and another £250,000 for specialist equipment.

Ferrets, face painting and a fire engine were among the eclectic array of attractions at an animal hospital open day.

A Pensioner was crushed between two cars after a driver reversed into him while he was getting into a minicab.
