Ferrets, face painting and a fire engine were among the eclectic array of attractions at an animal hospital open day.

More than 500 visitors attended the popular annual day out at the Mandeville Veterinary Hospital in Mandeville Road, Northolt.

Other highlights last Sunday (27) included a display by some of the Met Police's drugs dogs, the chance to get close to reptiles and creepy crawlies as well as the more cuddly rabbits, and tours of the animal hospital.

And on top of all the fun a total of £550 was raised by the refreshment stall for the Cat's Protection League and the Cat's Action Trust charities.

It is the fifth year in a row the event has been held and there seems to be no sign of its popularity dimming.

Practice manager Adrian Hayter, said: "It was a great day and we got some very good feedback.

"Clients coming back for their appointments were still talking about it days later."

We'd like to hear from you.
