Posted by Michael Russell on Oct 1, 09 11:59 AM in

More than 1,000 supporters have thrown their weight behind the Pledge for the Plough Campaign in a bid to see their beloved pub restored.

Northolt Village Residents' Association (NVRA), who have organised the drive, plan to present their petition and letters from residents to Fuller's this month.

The Brewery are deciding what to do with the watering hole, in Mandeville Road, Northolt Village, since it was devastated by fire on August 16.

NVRA member Antonia Butler, said: "The campaign is ploughing ahead. We're thrilled to have so many responses and they're still coming.

"It's been very interesting reading people's emails and letters about their memories of the Plough, it's inspiring.

"The campaign is bringing people together."

The Gazette is urging readers to support the campaign by continuing to send comments or memories of the Plough to Reporter Michael Russell to help show Fuller's how important it is
