Pupils were praised for their inspiration and imagination in a writing competition judged by the Ealing Gazette's community reporter.

Reporter Jane Harrison, who judged the pupils at Ravenor Primary School in Greenway Gardens, Greenford today (8) said: "This was quite a challenge as there were so many good entries. I was very impressed by the imagination, description and inspired story-telling as well as by some very colourful drawings." She presented the book token prizes to the winners of each year.

Pensioners seeking company at Christmas are invited to join the celebrations at Greenford Baptist Church.
