Typhoon jets to land at RAF Northolt during Olympics
Residents will hear the arrival of Typhoon jets and Puma helicopters arriving at RAF Northolt to provide security at the London Olympics.
The fighter planes will be part of a 13,500-strong military programme announced by the Defence Secretary Philip Hammond this week to patrol the skies during the Games next July.
They will be temporarily stationed at the base, just across the borough border in South Ruislip, and be operated from HMS Ocean.
We'd like to hear from you. Send your stories, pics and videos
